Junior Brand Manager


This role requires someone is excited by big challenges: the role with functionally report into the Senior Brand Manager and together the team will be required to drive outstanding performance and growth – and be given exceptional resource to achieve this. The role requires someone who finds a way to get this done fast, can motivate stakeholders internally and externally and is excited to work in a commercial environment.


Strategy Development

  • Support the Senior Brand Manager in the preparation of the barriers to growth by segment (wet/dry/C&T) and brand following the MARS growth philosophy
  • Review pricing & promotion with our data partners and make recommendations and insights to the senior brand manager.
  • Lead the deployment of channel based growth plans
  • Lead the deployment of innovation – preparing Size of Prize, key operational data, co-ordination with European team
  • Prepare relevant insights & business data through the S&OP+ process to turn insight into action
  • Support the senior brand manager in preparing the picture of success & priority list for your segments in partnership with the category team – prepare key information and recommendations
  • Review SKU performance by channel/customer & recommend SKU cleaning and renovation to drive growth
  • Develop expertise on relevant consumer insights in partnership with CMI

Strategy Execution

  • Monitor performance KPIs and make recommendations to the senior brand manager on what needs to be done differently to accelerate growth
  • Lead post-evaluation of activities to review promotional effectiveness and report to Senior Brand Manager
  • Lead internally engagement plans for our key initiatives
  • Set the sampling plan for the brand as relevant – driving as much availability at the lowest cost per reach
  • Prepare brand toolkits and activities for the year
  • Lead the development and execution of National Cross Brand Activities
  • Contribute to strategy deployment excellence through the European Forums
  • Work with finance to track budget spending and make recommendations to senior brand manager how to reallocate funds to reduce waste and drive ROI


  • Work with senior brand manager in creating best in class media plans for our brands
  • Drive a specific and scientific test & learn agenda in media to continually build our capability
  • Lead the process of integrating multiple media KPIs to take a holistic view of reach & impact across TV/Online Video/Owned Digital channel/Social
  • Deploy regional content on the appropriate media channels & produce content locally if required
  • Drive a continuous improvement in cost per reach point while improving impact to grow ROI
  • Find the right media support model to drive mass awareness of new brands with an appropriate RO

Operations & Process Management

  • Involved in Portfolio Management Review (PMR) in S&OP+ (Step 1)
  • Attend Regional Marketing meetings (ext BDT etc)
  • Champion brand-related projects on Regional/European level as requested

  • Bachelor Degree


  • 1-2 years of relevant experience as a Brand Manager
