Brand Manager Chocolate

Job Purpose/Overview

Drive the M&Ms brand and Celebrations brand growth for the total business unit (Central Europe) in line with the brand and portfolio strategy and manage the Seasonal plan and portfolio to deliver growth we are proud of

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy the global/ regional brand strategy by developing the CE brand plans including clear portfolio choices, pricing recommendation, ATL and BTL in line with the Mars Growth Philosophy
• Be responsible for brand positioning, brand activation and brand protection/integrity in the business unit
• Regularly review the brand performance across CE (Flywheel analysis, Brand reviews etc.) and conduct post-evaluation of activities to review promotional effectiveness and build on the learnings for future planning
• Ensure alignment between the Category Vison and Brand plans
• Work closely with the Category managers to understand the brand insights and drive cross functional collaboration with the key stakeholders within cluster as well as local markets
• Lead investment allocation and ROI through effective A&P management
• Input and implement the local media strategy
• Manage central ATL & BTL agencies (TBC)
• Understand the local market needs and engage the Customer marketing teams to excellently execute the plans
• Inspire stakeholders internally and externally to our plans: including internal launches for key initiatives, the annual sell in presentations etc

• Part of the BU Marketing team
• Part of the European Brand team

Operations & Process Management
• Involved in Portfolio Management Review (PMR) in S&OP+ (Step 1)
• Attend Regional Marketing meetings (Competency week, Brand forums etc)
• Champion brand-related projects on Regional/European level as requested

Key Performance Indicators for this role

• NSV growth for total Chocolate segment as well as per brand
• Brand P&L ownership with focus on MAC and A&P
• Market share gain
• On time delivery and quality of projects
• Planning and executing media plans
• Effective management of complex seasonal portfolio while respecting local
markets needs as well as long term strategy

Job Specifications/Qualifications

Education & Professional Qualification

• University Degree
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in marketing working on all elements of
marketing mix
• Language skills: Fluent in English (written and oral) plus preferable fluency in
relevant local language(s)
• Computer and MS office literacy
• Mobility desirable

Knowledge/Experience

• Experience of brand planning and activation
• Brand performance review
• Brand communication and advertising
• Strong at process/ activity management
